  • WHO IS COWBOY ANDY?

Andy is a character from Cowboy Bebop session #22 "Cowboy Funk". He is a true cowboy and heir to the Oniyate Ranch. Even though he is rich, he enjoys bounty hunting as a hobby. He used to be a member of the Young Men Cowboy's Association (YMCA), but was kicked out because he was too annoying. Andy is very charming, but somewhat self-absorbed and not so bright, which makes him very amusing. He enjoys playing a nice game of chess with his faithful steed Onyx and after being beat by Spike, he decides to retire his cowboy uniform and become a samurai. "Just call me Musashi!!". Spike gets really annoyed by Andy at first, even though they are so much alike. But after their little encounter, Spike decides Andy is not so bad after all and eats some of Andy's "Son of a Gun" stew. Andy rides off into the sunset as a samurai. The name Go Go Cactus Man refers to the song that is played every time Andy makes an entrance.
